Kohl Stewart Baseball Card

Kohl Stewart was a RHP/SS/CF who played for the St. Pius X Panthers 2011-2013. As a senior, he posted a 5-1 record with an 0.18 ERA and 59 Ks in 40 innings. He also hit .384 with 10 Home Runs, 34 RBIs and a .779 Slugging Percentage. Stewart was a three-time 1st Team All-State Selection. He was named the Texas Gatorade Player of the Year in 2013.

A great quarterback in high school, Stewart signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Texas A&M. He also was selected with the 4th pick in the 2013 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins. He signed with the Twins on June 19, 2013 and received a $4.5 million dollar signing bonus.

Stewart moved up gradually through the Twins farm system and in 6 years (2013-2018) he complied a 31-34 record with a 3.35 ERA and 406 Ks in 106 starts. He was named a Midwest League All-Star in 2014 and a Florida State League All-Star in 2016.

The Twins called up Stewart to the major leagues on August 12, 2018 and started the game that day. He pitched in 8 games for the Twins that year and went 2-1 with a 3.68 ERA and 24 Strikeouts in 36.2 innings. Stewart opened the 2019 season with AAA Rochester. He was recalled by the Twins on three occasions during the season and finished with a 2-2 record and a 6.38 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 25 innings on 9 appearances.

Stewart became a free agent after the 2019 season and signed with the Baltimore Orioles last December. He has a MLB career 4-3 record, a 4.79 ERA and 34 Strikeouts.
