THSB Player Profile: Alex Scherff, Sr, RHP

Alex Scherff is a Senior RHP.  He is 6’4”, 205 lbs.  He is committed to Texas A&M.

In 2016, he was 10-0 with a 1.03 ERA and 82 K’s at Prestonwood Christian Academy.  He was the winning pitcher in Prestonwood’s TAPPS 5A State Championship Game.  In his sophomore year at Ft. Worth Christian, he was 11-2 with an 0.65 ERA and 113 Ks.

Scherff was chosen to play for the Texas Rangers Area Code team.  He hit 95 mph on his fastball on several occasions.  He was also selected to play in the Under Armour All-America Game and the Perfect Game All-American Classic.  In the Perfect Game All-American Classic Scherff pitched a scoreless 5th inning, striking out 2 while giving up 2 hits.  One of his fastballs hit 96 on the radar.

He has played summer league baseball with the Houston Banditos.
