THSB Player Profile: Jacob Meador, Sr, P, Burleson Centennial

Jacob Meador is a 5’11” senior pitcher from Burleson Centennial High School.  Meador is committed to play college ball for TCU.

Meador was an honorable mention Under Armour player in 2017 and jumped up to first-team status in 2018.

He was also selected to play in the Connie Mack World Series, which took place earlier this month in New Mexico.

 

In his junior season, Meador had a 4-1 record and 1 save in 35 innings pitched.  He stuck out 79 batters, walked just 18 and had an ERA of 1.00.  He also hit .394 and was selected as an honorable mention all-state DH.

 

As a sophomore, Meador was near all of the top pitching categories in class 5A.  He was tied for eighth in the state in wins at 10, was fifth in the state strikeouts at 129, and had an ERA of just 1.52.

 

As a freshmen, he did pick up 5 wins on the mound.
