THSB Player Profile: Shane Baz, Sr, RHP/3B, Tomball Concordia Lutheran

Shane Baz is a 6’3”, 190 Sr RHP/3B from Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball. He has committed to TCU.

As a junior he had a .443 average with 6 2Bs, 3 HRs and 23 RBIs. He also was 3-1 in 26 innings with a 1.07 ERA and 46 K’s.

Baz has been invited to play on the most prestigious national baseball teams this summer. He was chosen to play for the Texas Rangers Area Code team. He was selected to play in the USA Baseball Tournament of Stars in June. He also played in the Perfect Game All-American Classic and the Under Armour All-America Game. Most recently, he was selected to USA Baseball 18U National Team.

Baz hit 94 MPH in the Area Code Games and hit 95 MPH in a Perfect Game showcase.  He also hits for power.  At the Area Code games, he made it to the semifinal round in the Home Run Derby hitting 18 HRs in the first round, the most by any player for one round, and 12 in the second round.
