THSB Player Profile: T.J. Rumfield, Sr, 3B, Temple

T.J. Rumsfield is a 6’5”, 215 lb 3B for the 5A Temple Wildcats. He has committed to the University of Baylor.

In his junior season, Rumfield hit .456 with 9 2Bs, 2 HRs and 24 RBIs. He was selected as the 18-5A Offensive MVP. He also made THSBCA All-State Team as a 2nd Team 3B and the TSWA All-State Team as a Honorable Mention 3B.

As a sophomore, Rumfield hit .468 with 8 2Bs and 22 RBIs . He was selected as the 17-5A Offensive MVP. He was a 2nd Team 3B on the THSBCA All-State Team and a 3rd Team 3B on the TSWA All-State Team.

As a freshman, Rumfield was named the 17-5A Newcomer of the Year as well as a 1st Team All-District player.

Rumfield played on the Rangers Area Code Team in the summer of 2017. He also was selected to the All-Tournament Team at the Connie Mack World Series and was the Individual Batting Champ of the tournament.

Rumfield played on the Rangers Area Code Underclassmen Team in 2016.

Rumfield is the Quarterback for the state ranked Temple Wildcats football team.
