Aaron ran a 60 Yard Dash of 7.0 seconds and received the highest hitting scores from the MLB scouts in attendance – posting an 8 out of 8 grade on Hitting Power and 7 of 8 Bat Control score. New York Mets Scout Tom McLamore “Aaron was hands down the best bunter at this event as well.” The only other athlete to receive an 8 of 8 Hitting Power score was USA Baseball’s 15U 97 mph flame thrower Masyn Winn from Kingwood HS. Masyn showcased at the Shortstop position and finished the event as the #1 Ranked Overall Shortstop, posting a 7 of 8 Fielding Ability score with an arm velocity across the diamond of 94 mph. The athlete that made the most out of the opportunity was All-State shortstop Isiah Campa from Socorro High School (Class of 2018). The lefty hitter displayed tremendous bat speed and bat control hitting to all fields on command. Campa was smooth in the field and his throws were always on point with an 85-mph velocity behind them. The Socorro HS talent finished the event ranked as the #5 overall performer at the showcase. Campa and De La Cruz exhibited why they are the best kept secret in the state of Texas for a program looking for a polished and athletic shortstop with top of the order hitting abilities.

Behind the plate, Colby Seltzer from Eaton High School led all catchers in overall performance.  The Honorable Mention TSWA All-State Catcher and 6-5A Offensive MVP, ran a 6.9 60-yard dash and was graded at a 7 of 8 hitting power wise.  His bat speed was top shelf at the event, lacing ball after ball into the outfield with top ranked exit velocities.  Colby was top five in homeruns and opposite field hitting abilities.  Tyler Wade from Midland High School impressed college coaches and scouts in attendance with his bat control and power to all fields, lacing balls to the right field gaps on command and going yard multiple times as well. His base running speed and awareness was tops at the event, additionally impressing with an 87-mph throwing velocity across the diamond.
